The Commons

I just wanted to share with you our recent designs for The Commons by myself and Gap Filler. You can read more about the project on my Portfolio Page. We’ve already made a start on some of the changes including a new area for the food collective and large planters have been loaned to the site by the Christchurch City Council as of yesterday. In the next few weeks we’ll be starting on the grassed areas pending some drainage issues being sorted. Then the City Council will be installing an exemplar rain garden along the edge of the site too. Contrary to David Lynch’s recent comments to the City Council and the media, this landscaping is not his idea. It has been in the planning for a few months. Good things take time. They also take volunteers. Stay tuned to Gap Filler’s fb page for volunteer opportunities.
